How it is built

Modular edging
shifts. Ours
can’t.

Our curbing is extruded as one piece to eliminate the shifting experienced with modular edging systems. No joints to separate, no blocks to heave, no plastic to pop out of the ground three summers from now.

  • 1/8″ steel cable throughout. Run end to end inside the curb so settling and erosion can’t pull it apart.
  • Low-aggregate masonry sand and portland limestone cement. Mixed to a ratio built for durability, not for speed.
  • Eflo-guard and plasticizer in the mix. One stops moisture discoloration, the other keeps the mix workable enough for a clean finish.
  • Solvent-based 100% acrylic sealer. On every colored and stamped curb. Repels water and minerals, blocks UV yellowing, and stops secondary colors fading.

The point of all four: in ten years your curb should look the way it did the day it was installed.

Curb profiles

Pick the cross-section
your yard actually needs.

Four profiles, drawn to scale. The right one depends on what you are holding back — pine straw, river rock, Bermuda runners or a gravel driveway.

Common to all four

  • 1/8″ steel cable run the full length
  • Extruded as one continuous piece
  • Any of the 12 stamps, any of the 25 colors
  • Control joints cut every 12–24″
  • 1-year workmanship warranty

Not sure which profile fits? Tell us what you are holding back and we will pick it with you on site.

6×4 Slant curb

The industry standard for residential landscape edging — the balance point between how it looks and what it has to hold back.

  • Easier mowing. The sloped face lets a mower wheel ride the edge, so you trim along the curb instead of around it.
  • Lower maintenance. Less routine edging and string trimming every week of the growing season.
  • Perfect containment. The high back keeps mulch, stone and soil off your walkways.
  • Custom styling. Takes the full range of stamped patterns and integral colors.

Best for — Flower beds and garden borders · Walkway and pathway edging · Tree rings

Stamp library

Twelve stamps.
Three levels.

Every one of these is a real Killer Curbz install, not a catalogue render. Level sets the complexity of the stamp work, and we will tell you which level a pattern falls in before you choose.

Color is chosen separately — integral pigment through the whole mix, with an optional secondary release color on top. We match to your siding, shutters or stone veneer on site, and bring samples.

See every pattern in detail

Curb colors

Twenty-five integral
colors, mixed in.

Integral color goes through the whole mix, not onto the surface, so a chip or a scuff is the same color underneath. Pick one to match your siding, your shutters or your stone veneer — we bring samples to the estimate and will tell you honestly what works.

Screens shift color. Treat these as a starting point, not a match — every colored and stamped curb is sealed with a solvent-based 100% acrylic that deepens the tone slightly and keeps it from fading.

Install day

Marked in the morning.
Poured by lunch.

Most jobs are completed in one day without disturbing your existing landscape. Here is the order it happens in.

  1. Step 01

    Free estimate

We walk the yard with you, measure the run, talk profile, pattern and color, and give you a price. No charge, no obligation.

  2. Step 02

    We paint your line

The exact curve gets sprayed on the ground first. You look at it, move it, approve it. Nothing is poured until the line is the line you want.

  3. Step 03

    Ground prep

Sod and debris come off the marked path and the base is cut level so the curb sits where it should, not on top of soft fill.

  4. Step 04

    Extrude and cable

The machine lays the profile in one continuous piece with the 1/8″ steel cable fed through it, then the stamp and color go on while it is green.

  5. Step 05

    Joints and sealer

Control joints are cut, the site is cleaned up, and colored or stamped curb gets its 100% acrylic sealer. You get the 48-hour rules in writing.

Reseal & restoration

Ten-year-old curb.
Brand-new curb.

Don’t remember who installed your curb? No worries, we’ve got you covered. We strip old spotty sealer, dirt, mildew and years of buildup, then put the shine back on.

  • Any installer. We reseal curbing we didn’t pour, including work from companies no longer around.
  • Not just old curb. A two-year-old curb that needs its luster back gets the same treatment.
  • Same sealer we install with. Solvent-based 100% acrylic — repels water and minerals, blocks UV yellowing, keeps secondary color from fading.

Curbing questions

What people ask
before they book.

Answers in our own words — installation, cost, cracking, maintenance and the warranty. If yours is not here, call or text and ask.

What can I expect during installation of my new curbing?

Very little disturbance. Existing grass outside the curb line is not affected by our machines — only the strip where the curb is laid gets cut down and removed. Concrete is mixed on site with a specialized trailer and mortar mixer, then moved with a powered wheelbarrow on large turf tires that will not tear up your lawn. Your curb is extruded through a curb machine. There may be a few small leftovers beside the curb or in the grass, and those are easily picked up.

What does it cost?

A job is estimated on the amount of footage being installed, the style you choose, removal of sod or debris, site preparation and ease of installation. Like any other construction project, it needs a real estimate for your particular yard. Killer Curbz provides free in-person or online estimates.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes. We offer discounts for military, law enforcement, first responders and seniors. Mention it when you call and we will apply it to your estimate.

Do you have any issues with cracking in your curbing?

Curbing is a concrete product, and a company that tells you their curbing never cracks is not telling you the truth. Ours crack very little because we use the correct ratios and techniques for mixing and finishing, and we set control joints roughly every 12 to 24 inches to relieve stress as the concrete cures — the same idea as the cuts in a sidewalk or driveway. A hairline at a joint means the joint is doing its job. Exactly which cracks are replaced under warranty is set out on the warranty & policy page.

What maintenance is required for curbing?

The only maintenance is resealing. We recommend a reseal after the first year, then every 18 months after that.
